27 November 2009   Year 3 Hindu Celebration Day Nov 13th 2009
As part of our RE curriculum, the children in Year 3 had a wonderful day on Friday 13th November 2009 celebrating a traditional Hindu festival. We dressed up, performed a stick dance after making our own dandya sticks, decorated mendhi hands, created rangoli patterns and collages of Gods and Goddesses, cooked traditional Indian food and of course ate it! To round off a fun packed day we invited our family and friends to join us at the end of the day to find out what we had been learning.  More...
