17 July 2008   Happy Retirement Mrs Rabin!
We are all very sorry to say our fond farewells to Mrs Rabin, one of our dedicated Reception teachers, who retires this week after teaching at Pitmaston for over seventeen years. She is looking forward to spending more time in her garden and with her family and especially to being able to holiday during term time! She will be greatly missed and all the staff and children wish her the very best for a happy, healthy and relaxing future. Au revoir!  More...

07 July 2008   Key Stage 1 Arts Day July 2008
On Friday 4th July 2008, the Key stage 1 children enjoyed a fantastic day of art creating abstract designs which will be used to decorate the Key stage 1 hall for all to admire. The children were helped by a group of Year 8 and 9 Art students from our local Christopher Whitehead Secondary School and after much sketching, tearing, cutting, stretching and lots and lots og gluing our work was finished!!!  More...

27 June 2008   Y5 'A Day in the Life of the Tudors' June 2008
Year Five children and staff enjoyed a wonderful day imagining what it would have been like to live during the time of the Tudors. They wore Tudor dress and experienced a day of cooking, making pomandas, music, dancing and ended an exciting day with a Tudor banquet.  More...

26 June 2008   Annual Year Four Community Afternoon June 2008
On Thursday 26th June 2008, our Year Four children performed to an audience of local senior citizens. Acts included singing, dancing, music and gymnastics displays. After being thoroughly entertained our guests were served by the children with refreshments and then there was still time for a chat about school life today compared with the school days of our visitors. Children enjoyed a wonderful, fun-packed Arts week based on the topic of 'The British Isles'. They experienced dancing, music, creative writing, drama, art and much more all helping them to find out about the cultures of the four nations that make up the British Isles.
